Gillian Foster Photography
Hi ! I'm Gillian, a Toronto wedding and lifestyle photographer. I have a BA in Studio Art, with a background in fine art and film photography. I take a documentary approach to capture bright, colourful and candid photos.
With 10 years experience capturing weddings and families, I love to create artistic and authentic imagery. I put my heart, energy and creative drive into my work. I believe photo sessions are best spent doing something you love in meaningful places, or discovering new ones.
After developing my first photograph, I discovered my love for photography in the darkroom at the University of Guelph. My first three years as a photographer were entirely film based. I loved the hands-on aspect of processing and printing my own images. Every correction and adjustment made was done entirely in the darkroom. Film photography introduced me to the importance of colour and light – my main sources of inspiration.
Since completing my BA Studio Art I’ve continued to shoot digitally, focusing on wedding and lifestyle photography. Nothing makes me happier than capturing authentic and real moments. I love to tell stories that are filled with emotion, silly quirks and full of personality.
As your photographer, I want to provide you with photographs filled with love, honesty and lasting memories. I’m a Toronto-based photographer, who shoots throughout the GTA and southern Ontario – Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Oshawa, Muskoka, Pickering, Milton, Guelph, Oakville, Burlington, Niagara and Hamilton. I also love to travel.
